ABOUT OUR AGENCYI began my State Farm agency career in June 2002 after graduating college. I had the privilege of working alongside my father, Mike Markman, at his long-established agency in Park Ridge. It was there that I developed a passion for helping people in their moments of need, building trust with clients that continues to drive how I lead my agencies today. I opened my first office in Wilmette in 2008. Being a New Trier High School graduate and longtime resident of the area made the transition seamless and allowed me to become an active member of the community. In March 2022, I opened my second location in Northbrook, where my family has lived for over 10 years.
Across my two offices, we have a team of 10, collectively bringing well over 100 years of State Farm experience. Many of my team members have been with me for years, and their loyalty and expertise are the foundation of our success. We handle everything from simple customer needs to complex policy issues with professionalism and care. We make a point to keep our culture strong through team lunches and dinners throughout the year. I encourage flexibility and support a healthy work-life balance, allowing team members to work from home one or two days a week to stay refreshed and energized.
Giving back to the community is something I value deeply. My family and I volunteer with Feed My Starving Children several times a year, and I’m an active member of both the Wilmette and Northbrook Chambers of Commerce. I also stay involved with Glenbrook North athletics, where my son plays basketball.
Our office culture is built on respect, diversity, and collaboration. Between us, we speak five different languages, which allows us to serve a broad range of clients effectively. We work hard to be there for our customers every day — and we also make time to enjoy each other’s company, celebrate wins, and foster a workplace where people genuinely want to stay and grow.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Customer Relations Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member with Todd Markman - State Farm Agent, you will generate the kind of exceptional customer experiences that reinforce the growth of a successful insurance agency. Your attention to detail, customer service skills, and desire to help people make you a fit. You will enhance your career while resolving customer inquiries, coordinating with other agency team members, and anticipating the needs of the community members you support.

- Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues.
- Maintain customer records and update information as needed.
- Assist with customer retention strategies.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in customer service preferred.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly.
Compensation $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
